01/
How do I balance design craft with team management?
I believe in being hands-on while leading. In my previous role at Vodafone, I stayed involved in the design process, working directly on key projects like the redesign of our customer-facing mobile app. I provided mentorship to my team while ensuring the quality of the deliverables. By leading through example, I helped maintain a high level of creativity and performance in the team while managing the overall design strategy.

How do i navigate fast-paced environments?
I thrive in fast-paced environments by staying organized, prioritizing tasks effectively, and fostering clear communication. For example, at Vodafone, we worked under tight deadlines to improve UX/UI across various digital platforms. By implementing agile processes and regular sprint reviews, I was able to ensure that the team could quickly pivot based on business needs while maintaining a focus on user experience. This approach led to improved product delivery times without compromising quality.

What motivates me in a project
I'm motivated by projects that challenge me to solve complex problems while creating meaningful user experiences. At Vodafone, one of the most fulfilling projects was working on a complete overhaul of the self-service platform, where we focused on improving customer retention. The challenge was to simplify a complex system, and seeing how the new design increased user engagement and reduced customer complaints was incredibly rewarding.
04/
How do i approach leadership in design teams?
I lead with empathy and focus on empowering my team members. For instance, when I led the UX/UI team at Vodafone, I introduced a Community of Practice for UX/UI designers to share knowledge and best practices. This not only enhanced collaboration but also created a space where designers could feel supported and continue to grow. I also made sure to provide both strategic direction and the autonomy for my team to experiment and innovate. This balance fostered an environment where everyone could thrive.
